When I first met Fenella and Henry for a coffee, it was a really beautiful day. We were able to sit outside in the sun whilst we got to know each other better. I knew then that this wedding was going to be special.
Having met at school, it was clear that these two had a long history and that their lives were irrevocably entwined. As Henry said in his speech, the two have “grown up together”, having overcome a long distance period in their relationships to end up here today, celebrating their relationship.
Given Fenella’s Scottish family lineage, it was only fitting that they officially tie the knot at the beautiful St Columba’s Church of Scotland in Chelsea, where their guests were greeted by Fenella’s cousin on the bagpipes. After a lovely and happy ceremony, the couple and their guests went on to The Cavalry and Guards Club for their reception. This made for a perfect location, given its proximity to Green Park which provided a beaut backdrop for a couple shoot.
The evening unfolded in complete madness – with band ‘The Velvet Notes’ ensuring everybody got up onE the dance floor – and culminated in a crowdsurfing bride (a first for me).
This really was a stunning wedding celebrating two people that are clearly perfect for each other, and the amazing outfits, details and the touching words from the speeches make this one of my favourite films to date.
